Moving + Healing with NeuroCentric Health and Fitness

Hidden in the heart of downtown Boston is a private movement studio called NeuroCentric Health and Fitness. I had the pleasure of visiting NCHF and meeting with the founder and owner Ildi Varhelyi! Ildi is also a movement coach: a therapist, yoga teacher, and personal trainer all in one. By targeting the brain first, NCHF helps you get fit, get stronger, and both prevent and recover from injuries! Keep reading to see some of my favorite outfits from this workout with Ildi…

According to Ildi, whether we like it or not, our movement is a direct reflection of how well our brain works. Restrictions in our movement, like recurring injuries or chronic pain, can all be rehabilitated quicker and more efficiently when we look at the brain first. But don’t be fooled… there’s definitely a workout involved! I put on a pair of my favorite leggings to make sure I was ready for the movement we had ahead of us.

As you can see from the photos, this space is truly one of a kind. From monkey bars to climbing ropes to gymnastic rings, you’ll find everything you need to work both your body and mind. As Ildi likes to say, a fit brain equals a fit body, and every tool and piece of equipment at NCHF works to target your brain first!

If you’re coming back from an injury, you have to come see Ildi and her studio. She was able to rehabilitate her own broken neck without surgery, so she’s an expert when it comes to easing pain and healing injuries. Get ready to expand your mind while working both your body and brain!

Ildi also teaches eye-hand-foot coordination for better reflexes and balance, vision drills for better reading and learning, and breathing exercises for more energy, chronic pain release, and weight loss. No matter your age or what you’re dealing with, stop by Ildi’s studio. She’s the best kept secret in town!
