Supporting Local: Mother's Day
For this week’s edition of my Supporting Local series, I’m focused on all things Mother’s Day. This holiday is about pampering those special women in your life and treating them to something as unique as they are. Whether you’re celebrating yourself or a loved one, I’ve rounded up a few small and local businesses you can support this year!
If you’re looking for a casual Mother’s Day outfit, look no further! Here are some of my favorite looks for a comfortable and casual day in the sun. This striped Aviator Nation sweatshirt from Legit Activewear is my go-to piece for an active day outside. For a more neutral look, you can get my nude Chloe top and Moussy vintage jeans from Gretta Luxe. One of my favorite local Boston designers is Daniela Corte, and as you can see from these dazzling ivory pants and red vintage tee, she has so many unique pieces to offer! Who doesn’t love a great pair of jeans? This set of photos showcases my favorite pieces from Injeanius, Boston’s premiere jean boutique. But they don’t stop at denim! They recently hopped on the tie dye and animal print trends, as you can see from the photos above. Between the Tart leopard jumpsuit and the grey leopard top, I can’t decide which animal look is my favorite! Regardless, they all look great topped with their leather moto jacket and a fabulous pair of earrings, like these ones from Isabel Harvey.
The one thing that every woman needs in her closet is a classic LBD! Why not treat mom to one this year? This gorgeous number is from Injeanius, and I dressed it up with black peep-toe pumps and my favorite Chanel purse. When it comes to an LBD, you can add pops of color with your accessories or keep it chic and simple. Either way, you’ll feel confident and sexy in this classic look!
This Mother’s Day, I’m all about prints and pops of color. I’ll take any excuse to get dressed up!
