Tara's September Finds
For the month of September, I wanted to highlight all of my favorite fall fashion trends as well as what I’ve been up to the past few weeks! I had the pleasure of sitting down with Lindsay Merowitz, owner of Tyed with Love, to talk about her success as the go-to tie dye source for head to toe pandemic outfits and beyond. I’m also shining a spotlight on my favorite local shops and restaurants as well as some exclusive upcoming content. Keep scrolling to read about my September finds!
Tara’s September Finds:
Favorite Fall Pieces:
Leather Culottes: Culottes will always be in style, but this leather set from Frame takes it to a whole new level! Pair them with a simple brown heel like in the photo above, or throw on your favorite over the knee boots for a more dramatic look. This fall, I’m excited to play with proportions and explore new trends! How about you?
Neutral Wrap Coat: Is it just me or has the weather in Boston dropped 20 degrees in the past week? During chilly times like these, a transitionary coat is necessary. This neutral wrap coat from Michael Kors has been my saving grace: how would you style this classic piece?
New Finds:
Cadeau Boston: Located in Brookline Village, Cadeau Boutique and Gallery is an intimate, neighborhood shop devoted to the act and art of gifting, whether to yourself or to another. Cadeau offers a carefully curated selection of homewares, clothing, shoes, bags, and fine jewelery. Sourced from across the globe, Cadeau emphasizes objects that were produced with in a mission driven environment, with exquisite craftsmanship, and toward a luxurious end result.
Tyed With Love: Like many people during the pandemic, I found myself gravitating towards all things tie-dye! Tyed With Love became my go-to shop for all of my comfortable colorful sweat suit sets. They make something for the entire family, check out her Instagram for more style inspiration!
Chappy Bikini: It’s never too early to start thinking about your next warm weather getaway! Thankfully Chappy Bikini is making their Brookline debut this fall at 1011 Beacon St. Support your local businesses this season by popping into this new shop once they’ve opened up in the heart of Brookline. I know I’ll be there!
New Bites:
Coquette: Located at the Omni Hotel in Boston’s hip Seaport district, Coquette is a stunning new restaurant and the latest addition from the team behind Yvonne's and others. This unique spot takes lovely liberties with coastal French cuisine and draws culinary inspiration from the French and Spanish cultures that occupy the Basque region.
Bar Enza: Bar Enza is a lively restaurant in the heart of Harvard Square. At the helm is chef Mark Ladner, a name that may be familiar to those who are familiar with New York’s dining scene! He’s worked with Mario Batali, Joe Bastianich, and Lidia Bastianich, to name a few. I have a feeling this is going to be my new go-to Italian spot in the city!
