Retail Therapy with Psychological Interiors

I had the pleasure of meeting with Caroline Balz and Allison Goldberg, founders at Psychological Interiors based right here in New England. Caroline and Allison have a mutual love of aesthetics that’s been slowly brewing since childhood, but what makes their partnership special is their shared background in psychology. Together, they thrive off the motto: It’s not just about the details, it’s about how those collective details make you feel. Keep scrolling to see how their beautiful homes served as fashion inspiration for me this week!

How stunning is this bathroom set-up! Suddenly I have the urge to put wallpaper up in every room of my house… but for now I have this eye-catching Brunello Cucinelli shirtdress to serve as my eye candy! A garment this beautiful deserves to be shown off in a luxurious room like this one, and the founders at Psychological Interiors know how to make a space feel comfortable, cozy, yet effortlessly elegant at the same time.

Does anyone else equate owning a piano to being high-class and elegant? I think it adds such a sophisticated touch to a room! And of course, I had to throw on one of my favorite Staud dresses to commemorate the moment. It doesn’t get any cooler than dressing in an almost monochromatic look to play a striking black piano!

Not a fan of the all white look? Boy, do I have the piece for you: this killer Alice & Olivia dress made me feel instantly sexy! You can’t go wrong with a flattering slip dress and nude pumps. Talk about '90s minimalism, I love the way this simple dress channels one of my favorite decades with the spaghetti straps and slip style. It’s perfect with or without accessories, and I rarely say that! How would you style this iconic silhouette?

Can you tell I’m a big fan of the bathrooms in Caroline and Allison’s homes? They both have such unique styles and viewpoints, it’s hard to choose a favorite! To match the drama and luxe in this space, I put on this metallic shift dress from Zadig et Voltaire. This chic foil piece is the perfect way to flaunt your style this season, and it certainly commands attention. I paired mine with simple jewelry and stacked bracelets - how would you style this piece?
