Breast Cancer Awareness Month
What Are We Wearing?
It is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and I wanted to share some of my top "pink picks" for celebrating this very meaningful cause. Pink is the type of color that people either love to wear or feel like they only want a subtle hint of pink. Here are some ways to incorporate this lovely hue into your Fall wardrobe, whether you are a pink lover or just want a subtle sprinkle.
Wear pink as a statement piece by adding a bold blazer in shocking pink. The brightness will draw attention; tone it down with denim or a neutral-colored bottom like grey or black. For a softer take, go with a pale pink sweater, and I love the asymmetrical hem on this sleeveless sweater by itself or under a jacket. This Valentino dress is perfection and a gorgeous investment piece for any black tie occasion. Style it with black tights and sky-high platforms with the mini length for a retro feel.
A pop of pink is a chic choice with a pink pair of pumps like these Manolo Blahniks. I love this shoe with black trousers or jeans; you can also add them to a minimal dress or formal skirt. So feminine and elegant, this shade of pink is a timeless color to keep in your closet. It will always look current and playful. A more subtle option would be a cool pair of lifestyle sneakers with light pink accents like this vintage look by Golden Goose. Pink is a fun color as an accent on a shoe or an entire outfit. A sneaker is a great place to start because it's casual with little commitment, and if you want some flare, you can easily add to it.
Miniature and petite-sized handbags are around to stay, and this trend is ultra cute when combined with a bright and bold color like pink. This Prada bag is another fabulous statement piece to add to a neutral or extra casual outfit or with a feminine dress for a daytime event. Pair this pink Jacquemas bag with a pastel floral dress, a pink or ivory suit, or an all-black ensemble to steal the show.
