The New Corporate Aesthetic

What Are We Wearing?

Getting dressed for the office doesn’t have to be boring or stiff. The traditional “corporate” look has been reimagined in the fashion world. Using separates we have seen before, like blazers, trousers, and sweaters, but refreshed with unique proportions, layers, textures, and tailoring.

Layers

Start with buildable layers. Thin sweaters like these Merino Wool pieces from H&M’s latest Studio collection are so chic and very affordable. Layer over a comfortable Skims cami topped with a chic leather jacket finished with a preppy pleated trouser - both H&M Studio that can crossover from the office to outdoors.

Shoes

Funky flats and retro loafers are fun for the workplace and a great accessory to live up a look. These Prada heels have been all over the runways, making a big statement with skirts, dresses, and ankle-length pants. These chunky lug sole H&M Studio Collection loafers are a celeb favorite with skirts, shorts, pants, and dresses on the likes of Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, and Sofia Richie.

Blazers

Opt for a statement jacket or oversized classic-style blazer to go over a minimalist dress like this buttery soft maxi by Skims. This blazer by H&M is a fabulous piece over a tee or blouse and almost any pant because of the neutral beige and classic herringbone texture. This Prada boucle jacket is a timeless investment that looks stunning with a simple sheath, wide-leg pants, or even denim. The three-quarter sleeve is giving us Audrey Hepburn vibes, a classic beauty, but feel free to style it over a long-sleeved tissue-thin sweater or stretch tee for some dimension.
