The Denim Edition

What Are We Wearing?

The world of denim is exploding right now, and I just had to share some fabulous styles with you and where to buy them. From asymmetrical waistlines to carpenter-style denim, vintage washes, and back-to-skinny jeans. Even denim mini and maxi skirts are having a moment - check out these must-have jeans you need now.

Dear John

These jeans are quite possibly the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn. Prices range from $44 to $108, and there is no shortage of styles. Dear John's selection of denim is known for excellent craftsmanship and fit, made of the most buttery soft fabrics and designed to flatter. You will find an incredible selection of trending denim in various colors, lengths, and rises galore. I love to shop Dear John for denim refresh or when a client wants to try a hot new style but doesn't want the luxury price tag.

Injeanius

Injeanius is a specialty denim shop located in the heart of Boston. The owner, Alison, takes a personalized approach when serving her clients and is passionate about finding the right fit for her customers. I love the selection of denim at this store; I can always find what I'm looking for, whether it's for a particular client or me! Prices range from mid-range to high, and she carries brands you've definitely heard of, like AGOLDE, Paige, AG, L'Agence, Moussy, Re/Done, and more.

Mint Julep

Serving clients at their locations in Brookline and Cambridge, MA, as well as a fabulous online selection at www.shop.mintjulep.com. This contemporary shop specializes in mid-range premium denim, where you will find quality brands like AGOLDE, Mother, and Citizens Of Humanity. Serving well beyond the Boston community, Mint Julep always has a current collection of well-curated denim styles to suit everyone, from casual to skinny to relaxed and, of course, my favorite wide-leg.

Levi's

You can never go wrong with a classic, and the Levi's outlet is the perfect place to shop quality denim on a budget. Serving us their classic cuts and fits, the outlet offers a selection of denim that might be from a past season but rest assured, the styles deliver. I like to shop Levi's outlet when I'm hunting for casual finds for my clients that want a sportswear look and feel, so I opt for a pair of 501®'s with an oversized blazer or sweater and loafers.

John Varvatos

Let's not forget the guys! John Varvatos has been around for a long time, making the coolest vintage-inspired men's fashion. I recommend John Varvatos denim for my clients looking for an elevated pair of jeans that can be worn to dinners and nighttime events that don't require a suit. Their jeans are crafted with the finest fabrics, and the fits tend to have a slimmer cut for a refined look but paired with the right blazer, sweater, or dress shirt and a pair of boots or tennis sneakers, the end result is comfortable and very dapper.
