Transitions For Spring 23'

I am focusing on pieces that help transition my looks from winter-chic to spring ready. With unpredictable temperatures, it's easy to get caught in the storm of what to wear! Here are a few pieces to elevate your look and help carry you into the next season effortlessly.

Dressed To Impress

This sleeveless slip dress by Anine Bing is a great staple on hand year-round. The deep blue tone works for day or night, and the silhouette allows you to layer up if it's cold or pair down for a warmer climate or a more formal event. I added a textured neutral Smythe coat with the fine tailoring details I adore to give this ensemble some shape and structure and play off the delicate drape of the dress. I finished the look with milk-chocolate suede boots by Jennifer Chamandi to keep my legs warm. The earth tones and different textures on the coat and boots give warmth to this look and complement the sultry jewel-toned dress beautifully.

Lacey Details

A black blazer with great jeans is always in my rotation. I love Dear John denim - I have said this before, so it's not a surprise, but when I say they are the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn, I mean it. I could wear these jeans all day - they won't lose shape or overstretch like other brands. The price point is also approachable, starting around $98, and they offer a wide array of up-to-date styles like flares, wide-leg, skinny, and split-hem denim in ALL the washes. I went with a sexy lace-trimmed camisole by Pinko to dress it up several notches. Lace or mesh fabrics wear beautifully going into the warmer months and work flawlessly with denim. Add a pair of black pumps or booties and your favorite sunnies, and you are ready for a fabulous lunch date, date night, or a chic cocktail hour.

Denim On Denim

On a warmer but still wintery day, opt for a white pair of wide-leg, white denim - yes, white! Gone are the days of waiting until Memorial day for white pants. These Dear John wide-leg white jeans are giving a trouser look with a comfy buttery soft feel. This washed utility-style denim blazer by Cinq a Sept adds a modern sportswear vibe and a tailored shape to counter the fuller pant. I wore nude suede pumps with this outfit to keep the colors lighter. I finished with a new pair of sunglasses by Victoria Beckham -they flatter all face shapes. I love the oversized silhouette for a glamorous feel and excellent coverage on those extra bright wintery-ish days.

Casual And Cool

A casual but cool way to work your wardrobe into the spring is a great pair of cargo pants - a hot trend for 2023. I styled these STAUD pants with my favorite bodysuit by Wolford - a wise investment piece that works with many separates through the winter. These pants have a sporty design with canvas fabric and a worn-in wash, making them perfect for the in-between weather. You can also wear them with sneakers and a cropped sweater for relaxed days or heels and a leather bomber to take your look up a notch - so versatile! As the days warm up, you can easily continue to wear these pants with a bold-colored sandal or platform heel and a cami or a premium tee.
