How To Style Midi & Maxi Skirts

What Are We Wearing?

Skirts are an underrated closet staple that offers variety and versatility when getting dressed. Here are some of my favorite ways to incorporate midi and maxi-length skirts into your Spring/Summer 23 wardrobe lineup.

For Daytime

A feminine floral print midi skirt is the perfect separate to wear for almost any daytime event. Keep the vibe dressy with a crisp white button-down and mules, or go casual with tennis sneakers and a tee or chambray button-down. These skirts make a beautiful statement and feel light and delicate, aligning perfectly with the season.

For Evening

Think luxurious and rich fabrics for an evening affair. A silk or satin maxi skirt is a classic and elegant option with a lightweight cashmere sweater or silky camisole, depending on your event. Another gorgeous option is an a-line taffeta skirt. It feels very black-tie, but pair it with a Pointelle sweater, off-the-shoulder knit top, or sleeveless blouse, and you have a wearable formal look just right for a warm Summer night.

For Fun

A linen maxi skirt is one of my favorite pieces for Summer. It’s easy to wear because it’s so comfortable, travels well, and flatters every shape. Dissh has many fabulous options at affordable prices of around $100. Style it with a coordinating vest, strapless top, or a tee with a chic summer blazer for a sporty feel with a loafer, flat sandal, or a sneaker. You will find a reason to wear your cotton or linen maxi skirt on a few occasions this Summer.
