Style For A European Summer

What Are We Wearing?

Packing for a trip to Europe is very exciting, but it requires well-thought-out looks appropriate for the time of year and your itinerary. Here are some essentials I pack for my clients and myself this Summer.

A Chic Crossbody Bag
A sturdy, roomy crossbody bag is the perfect accessory for traveling around Europe. A beautiful bag like this Vancouver Raffia version by DeMellier is a great option. This bag will fit your purse's must-haves and can be worn comfortably all day and night. A fabulous crossbody bag is the only handbag you need on this type of vacation - except for your beach tote. You can wear this purse for any daytime looks, then style it with an elevated dinner look. It's the perfect option if you want to travel light.

A Stylish Maxi Skirt
Long live the maxi skirt! Traveling is easy with a few well-made, stylish maxi skirts because they transition beautifully from day to night to and from the beach or pool. I love a cotton, poplin-style maxi skirt for a casual day of shopping and walking. It looks fresh and effortless and is so comfortable on a hot day. Another beautiful piece is a crochet-style maxi skirt; it's a little sexier and looks gorgeous for a waterfront lunch or cocktails at the pool. The obvious ventilation makes crochet an easy fabric to bring on holiday this Summer.

A Versatile Sandal
We all love the dad sandal, as we've seen from all the designers - at all price points. Check out this gorgeous embellished sandal from Free People; so chic with shorts or a sweet dress. Another style to consider is the caged flatform, like this one by Prada. I am getting my steps in style while enjoying my trip to Spain. I can wear this sandal with shorts, skirts, and even my signature linen pants and dresses. They are versatile and comfortable - especially for lots of walking, and elevate your look with the thick strap and buckle details.
