Red Hot For Fall
What Are We Wearing?
Red is the new black! Trending for Fall, we are seeing lots of cherry and lipstick red hues in everything from suits to dresses to shoes and bags. As you browse the new Fall collections, consider incorporating a red piece or two or three into your lineup. You can use red as an accent color for a neutral look or make a statement in a head-to-toe vibrant red ensemble. Here are a few items I am eyeing for some clients and… myself this Fall.
A red dress is a timeless, elegant look on anyone. If you're feeling festive or fiery, red is a great choice for a silk wrap dress or textured maxi this year. Style your rouge look with a pair of black boots or pumps, or go monochromatic with a red shoe to take it up a few notches.
It is an unexpected neutral to work with, but red is a great color to wear with almost anything. Style a rich pair of red trousers with a black and white blouse or navy jacket with chunky gold jewelry. Or this beautiful jacket by Veronica Beard. A closet classic, this jacket will get worn to various holiday events and at weekend functions with denim or to the office with a black maxi or mini skirt with tights.
I love red shoes to make an outfit pop. This ballet flat by Manolo Blahnik is stunning in its iconic Mary Jane design - a wise investment that goes with almost everything! A chic pair of red shoes is a subtle yet ultra-stylish way to top off a dress, a casual denim look, or an all-black or grey suit. I also love this bag by Khaite with a tee shirt, oversized sweater, loafers, and jeans - so effortless and on-trend.
