Evening Looks For A Fall Wedding
What Are We Wearing?
Fall is upon us, which means invites to weddings and formal events are coming! I like a slip, strapless, mid-length-a-line dress or a great suit for weddings. Opt for a fit that isn't too tight or grandiose; you don't want to draw attention away from the bride. Also, consider the climate and weather, and dress appropriately. As a guest, you want to look elegant but not overpowering. The night is about the bride!
Floral Dresses:
Floral or printed dresses are a beautiful choice for a wedding. Opt for a modern look that isn't matronly. The print should be soft and subtle but feel feminine. Keep the colors in line with darker, richer hues, not white, cream, or pastels that can come off very light, potentially competing with the bride or bridesmaid(s).
The change in seasons inspires the urge to wear rich and luxurious tones. Choose a seasonal color like a chocolate brown, ochre, steel blue, or maroon hue. A jewel-toned color, like purple, is also a great direction because it flatters all skin tones.
If you want to wear black, it should be a special dress. A full-length or midi-length black dress can be elegant when worn correctly. Choose a black dress with an elegant shape or soft fabric like silk, satin, crepe, or chiffon. Also, pay attention to the fit; it should gently hug the body and accentuate your natural shape.
