I can't believe we are already talking about Valentine's Day! I like this time of year a lot because we see some fresh new fashion usher in for the new year and have a great excuse to get dressed with Valentine's Day, whether celebrating with friends, family, or your special someone. I pulled three unique looks for inspiration this February, all that can be worn beyond Valentine’s Day to ensure you get as much wear out of your piece as possible.

Cute Cargo’s

I wanted a casual vibe for this look, so I borrowed these Alice & Olivia cargo jeans from my daughter, and I'm not sure she will be getting them back! The higher rise makes for a comfortable fit; this silhouette will flatter any shape. The exaggerated wide-leg with chunky pockets gives these jeans a cool girl vibe when worn with a relaxed top or blouse, even a bodysuit. For low-key V-day plans like a lunch or casual dinner out, opt for a pointed-toe pair of heels or boots, a great belt and a pair of hoops, or a cozy sweater for a softer look and feel.

I am so in love with this Mahogany colored velvet suit from Derek Lam. I styled a soft, shimmery pink blouse underneath to add glamour and elegance to this look. The fit of this suit is tailored but close to the body, giving it that feminine feel with structure. The blazer and pants are stunning worn as separates if you're not in the mood for a head-to-toe velvet look. This color is rich but approachable; it's a deeper red with brown undertones, making it a great choice for all skin tones.
