Summer Looks For The Office

What Are We Wearing?

Office style in the Summer can be tricky with the back-and-forth between the heat and the chill of the indoor AC, but that does not mean you need to sacrifice style. Here are a few options I like working with during the Summer when my clients want to look sharp and feel put together but also comfortable.

A Summer Suit

When you think about Summer, the last thing you might want to put on is a suit. Luckily, there are fabulous designers out there who have figured out a way to keep you chic if you have an important function with work or beyond. A linen or cotton blend suit is a great option to look for; these fabrics breathe and are lightweight, making it an easy choice for important work-related events. You can wear this Veronica Beard suit as is or add a lightweight or sheer blouse underneath if you want another layer to give it a more formal vibe. Finish with a subtle heel and a great tote, and you will be effortlessly chic at the office.

A Bold Shirtdress

The shirtdress is a wardrobe staple for a reason-its versatility. A bold color or a fun print can bring the silhouette to life. A shirtdress can be your go-to for casual days or easily transition into a more formal look with a heel and some jewelry. The collar adds structure, and the A-line skirt gives it that dressy feel we all love. Pair it with a heel, loafer, or wedge, depending on the occasion. Keep this dress handy for travel when you need something low maintenance but not too casual.

Linen Separates

If you prefer to mix and match pieces for the office, consider linen-tailored pieces like wide-leg trousers and a vest, a dress shirt with a skirt, or a tapered pant with a fun belt. These separates can easily transition into your weekend wardrobe. For a more casual look, pair a linen vest with shorts or white jeans. The versatility of these pieces makes them a practical choice for the Summer.
