A trip to Saks Fifth Avenue, in-store or online, is a must before any big trip. For my trip to Italy, I wanted to pick up a few fresh pieces I could wear on repeat, and a new swimsuit is always at the top of my list before a trip - nothing excites me more for a trip than a new bikini. VIX by Paula Hermany is one of my favorite swim brands for many reasons. The quality and fit are always so flattering, and her designs feel sexy and chic without being too revealing or over the top. Their cover-ups are also stunning enough to wear as a full look, not just to the beach. The Firenze beaded bikini top and bottom with beaded straps in Olive green is so beautiful. This color works as a neutral tone but is designed with gold accents on the beaded straps, making for a super chic and elegant look. The matching bottoms are minimal coverage, so keep that in mind. Sometimes, I don't mind having a more European-style bikini cut, but if I want more coverage, I just throw on a sarong, linen pants, or shorts. This style feels very elevated compared to other string bikini styles while still feeling like a classic that you can pull out for many Summer seasons or vacations to come.
A.L.C. is another brand I gravitate towards for elevated pieces that are beautifully designed and well made. The Holden linen pant in white is a modern take on a classic Summer must-have. I am obsessed with the deep pockets and wide leg silhouette; it makes them feel more formal and a perfect option for all day-to-night looks. I love the drawstring for adjusting the waistband depending on my top; for a bikini top or a tank like this Agolde Poppy tank, I will wear these pants as a higher rise, tighten the string, and finish with my favorite Hat Attack Traveler hat and a casual but chic Prada sandal for the ultimate European Summer look. When styling with a longer tank, cami, or evening-appropriate top, I would style these pants lower on the hips to balance the look. The A.L.C. Holden pants travel well and are very light and comfortable, making them my new go-to!
