3 Summer Date Night Looks to Turn Up the Heat

What Are We Wearing?

Summer date nights call for style that’s chic and effortless yet comfortable and romantic in these high temps. Breezy silhouettes, interesting layers, and put together sets make for an eye catching look that feels beautiful and fresh. Here are some looks I put together for date night no matter where you’re headed.

City Chic

For a night out that calls for a polished, sleek, and sophisticated look at a swanky rooftop bar or trendy restaurant, opt for a sexy silhouette. Pair of silk slip dress in a rich evening hue like sapphire, emerald, bronze, or cherry red with barely-there heeled or metallic strappy sandals to elongate your legs. Mini bags are a great add on in the summer as we dont want anything too heavy or clunk. Opt for a bag in a monochromatic color to keep the look clean or opt for a bold color bag that adds sharp contrast to the overall look, a tiny piece can make a big statement.

Coastal Romance

For a romantic, waterfront night out opt for something slightly relaxed but still beautiful and feminine. I love the ease of a cotton, linen, or fine knit monochrome set with a matching crop top and high-waisted shorts or skirt. It looks put together and easy while feeling very refined. Style it with flat, your favorite heeled sandals or espadrilles depending on the terrain and a nautical woven basket bag to complete the look.

Playful Glam

For a night out at a concert or night market go bold, have fun, and be a little flirty. An embellished denim jacket over a poplin dresser or a fitted sleeveless blazer with mini shorts feels playful and chic yet still very structured. Finish with a platform or chunky block heel to add some height while keeping you grounded with a cross body bag. This pairing is perfect for outdoor events that may have a turn in weather requiring an extra layer at a moment's notice while balancing trend-forward styling with practicality. You’ll be ready to dance, eat, explore and exchange glances all night long.
