For the month of March, in recognition of Women’s History Month, I’m putting the spotlight on female-owned brands and businesses. From my favorite designers and beauty experts to my favorite trainers and restauranteurs, this week’s blog post is focused on uplifting and empowering all the wonderful women in my life! Keep reading for a snapshot into some female brands that are rocking my feed.
Tara’s March Finds:
Brands & Designers:
Tiare Rose: Known for their highly interactive and personalized experiences, Tiare Rose curates elevated sustainable fashion & beauty products. This female-owned brand searches the world for up-and-coming designers who offer a unique perspective into the world of fashion. I partnered with them and did a segment on how to spring forward with Cara Cara NYC pieces that can be styled 5 ways! Check out the pictures below:
Veronica Beard: Founded by sisters-in-law Veronica Swanson Beard and Veronica Miele Beard, this brand took the idea of menswear and “having a uniform” and turned it into something special. The components of the Veronica Beard uniform are simple: a classic jacket, a chic top and a cool pair of jeans. All must-haves in a woman's wardrobe! Below you’ll see their iconic Dickey Jacket and the Analeah Embroidered Minidress. From March 31 through April 3rd, you're invited to join me to shop Veronica Beard on Newbury Street. Receive 10% off your purchase while supporting a local non profit: Boston Community Pediatrics!
Victoria Beckham: Victoria has been one of my favorite designers for as long as I can remember. Since launching her brand in 2008, she’s been able to create a distinct and contemporary vision of the everyday woman. She’s become the voice of modern minimalism! I love the brand’s versatility, strong sense of sophistication, and effortless approach to styling women for every aspect of their lives.
Restaurants:
Saltie Girl: Located in Boston’s iconic Back Bay, Saltie Girl is operated by female family-owned restaurant group Sidell Hospitality. With a combined $35 million in annual revenue, it has become one of New England’s largest female-owned hospitality groups! Kathy Sidell and Stephanie Sokolove opened Saltie Girl in 2016 and were named Best Raw Bar in 2017 by Boston Magazine.
Pammy’s: Named Restaurant of the Year by The Boston Globe in 2017, this spot between Cambridge’s Harvard and Central Square quickly became the talk of the town. Named after wife and co-owner Pam Willis, Pammy’s has a warm and knowledgeable staff, cozy environment, and an irresistible menu that’s sure to please any palate.
Orfano: A modern expression of an Italian-American restaurant located in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood, Orfano was created by award winning chef and restaurateur, Tiffani Faison. Inspired by the cuisine of the mid 1900’s, Orfano honors traditions of the past while allowing guests to enjoy a refreshing view of this period of cuisine.
