My Favorite Autumn Dresses
I have some fresh, new dress silhouettes and ideas for the season. Dresses have become a true staple in my wardrobe and styling sessions because they are a great style choice for occasions, easy to wear, and comfortable. These pieces stood out during my recent shopping trips because of the unexpected colorways, updated designs, and modern details.
The Quinn Dress
This dress is fabulous for several reasons - it’s versatile, comfortable, elegant, and a revitalized take on the recent cut-out versions we have seen from high-end designers. Furthermore, this piece is offered at an approachable price of $155 - making it a must-have. The Quinn Floral Dress has a beautiful teal and cinnamon color scheme that is perfect for this time of year. Think holiday dinners and cocktail parties. The sleeves have a little extra volume creating a feminine shape, and the open back leaves the rest to the imagination. I am loving this piece with knee-high boots but it would also look gorgeous with tights and pumps or suede ankle booties.
The Delmar Dress
Give me all the edgy vibes with the Delmar Vegan Leather Dress by J.McLaughlin. This reimagined LBD is a more current fashion look with a mock neck and sleeveless design. I added a Valentino belt and black suede peep toe pumps for a vamp evening event. Check out this similar version by Nanushka. Adding a fitted blazer, trench overcoat, or a bright cardigan will get you many wears out of this reinvented shift.
The Alva Dress
Here is a new play on the overdone slip dress, a design we have seen so much of over the last several years. The Alva Ruched Lace Trim Dress showcases a contemporized cut with a sweetheart neckline and bustier for added support. It hugs the body for a close and very sexy fit. Style this piece with a chunky cable knit sweater like this one by Free People and your favorite boots to give it a chic daytime look, or skip the sweater and add a platform ski-high heel for a night out.
