How I Styled 15 Days in The Middle East

15 Days, 5 Flights, 7 Hotels, 3 Countries, and 2 Wonders of The World! My family and I just returned from an incredible journey to the Middle East. We enjoyed breathtaking sights, delicious local cuisine, and many activities. Because of our adventures on deck, I spent a lot of time putting together the perfect looks to suit the extreme climate (110 degrees daily!) to give my escapades a stylish, effortless, and airy look.

We started in Israel

Our travels kicked off in the coastal city of Tel Aviv. Known for its architecture and vast history, well preserved in beautiful museums. We then ventured to the ancient city of Jerusalem, where we stayed at the David Citadel Hotel, sipping decadent cappuccinos and devouring the magical views of the Western Wall. I knew it would be hot, but this was truly next level. So I brought lightweight dresses that would travel well. I'm wearing a few of my favorites from a local Boston designer, Rachel Walters. Her pieces are so comfortable and elegant even if you're going for a casual look, and I adore a chic frock that is also minimal.

From there, we headed to the Negev Desert, where we saw the ruins of Mount Masada and indulged in floating baths on the Dead Sea. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I wore a fabulous pair Zeus + Dione striped pants and one of my favorite bathing suits from Helen Jon for this adventure. I opted for lighter colors most of the trip, given the sun's intense rays. My khaki shorts were Derek Lam, another great buy for their function and fashion. I love the updated cargo design with deep front pockets and higher rise; take your regular size in these.

An unexpected yet empowering moment for me was when I conquered my fear of heights! We enjoyed beautiful hikes and basked in the enchanting desert evenings. I wore blue track shorts by ALO Yoga for my brave trek. They were perfect for these high-intensity activities, especially in the heat.

Next stop Jordan

When we got to Jordan, we hopped in an open-air Jeep and crossed the desert of the Wadi Rum. It looked like a movie scene - only MUCH better. The views were picturesque, and the ride was expansive and open. It felt peaceful and adventurous at the same time. I wore a Reformation racerback top and gauzy pants for extra comfort on our excursion.

We spent evenings in Petra's "Pink City" at the beautiful Movenpick Luxury Resort. The accommodations were impeccable, the food was five stars, and we relished its spectacular views from every angle. I chose this mini dress, another favorite by Rachel Walters Collection, for its versatility and elevated black and white details.

We ventured to see The Treasury, which was so inspiring. We now understand why its red sandstone rock facades, tombs, and temples make it one of the world's seven wonders. Afterward, my family and I took a pit stop in Amman and stayed at The Fairmount Hotel. It never disappoints and provides a rich experience no matter where you are in the world, and the seven restaurants at this location were equally divine. I wore a Forte Forte top and skirt, making our tour comfortable and elegant.

Our final destination - Egypt

Seeing the Giza pyramids has always been on my list of things to experience, and it was almost unreal. The colossal monuments, ancient tombs, and temples were all so incredibly detailed and carefully crafted; it was an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend if you're looking for your next big trip. We went on camel rides and took in all the sights while enjoying lunch at The 9 Pyramids Lounge; order the pyramid rice, a tasty rice fritter shaped into a pyramid!

We completed our expedition in the great city of Cairo, which kept us on our toes and, again, lots of walking! There is so much to see; the entire experience felt so powerful. I wore a flowy Michael Stars kaftan - LOVE this piece and brought along these fun, printed high-waisted pants also by Rachel Walters Collection. Her garments lend themselves to travel so well because of the high-quality fabrics and flowing designs. We spent the last few days of our trip at the luxurious Four Seasons, showcasing stellar sunsets and views overlooking the Nile River. With photos for the reminders and memories to last a lifetime, this remarkable trip was the perfect way to close out a jam-packed and active summer. Now, let's bring on the fall fashion!
