3 Chic Looks For Summer
The busy days of Summer fun have arrived! As we are running around getting ready for events, travel, and our long-awaited seasonal family plans, we still want to look chic and fresh. This week’s blog gives us styling tips and tricks for what to wear for all your occasions, whether casual or more formal. These looks will not only flatter any body shape, but they also will elevate your seasonal wardrobe and take it to new heights.
Look 1:
A simple maxidress can look anything but simple; minimal black dresses for Summer have an effortlessness about them. Dissh has a wide variety of styles to choose from and at a fantastic price point. I went with an upgraded feel by adding a Max Mara bag and Gucci heels to this polished daytime ensemble. This outfit will take me to a daytime party, a luncheon, or a date night/cocktails with friends. You can also drape a linen blazer in a contrasting color over your shoulder for a casual work event. The minimalist trend is still going strong for Summer, so this maxi fits the bill, but adding premium accessories with details like gold hardware and a structured bag brings your look more personality and character, a styling trick I love to incorporate for when we want to add something to a look without overdoing it.
Look 2:
Romantic, ethereal, bohemian, and feminine - is how I feel in this stunning work of art from Zimmerman. This dress needs little accessories because your attention goes right to the billowing sleeve and beautiful colors. You can style this down with a slide, but I recommend this piece for a more formal gathering, daytime party, or dinner. The fabric is lightweight, so you can still wear it if it’s humid or warm out, and it is an easy piece to travel with for vacation. Wear a neutral-colored pump or heeled sandal to complement the jewel tones of the dress.
Look 3:
How about a put-together look for every day? You got it - Philip Lim does great separates, and I own several pairs of his shorts I wear often. These shorts offer a tailored sense, so it’s not a lazy look. It feels more formal while still being casual and relaxed. I opted for a sweet, cropped button-down by Free People for a youthful kick and my favorite Jimmy Choo wedges for added height. A cropped top or blouse works great with a high-rise bottom because it cinches your natural waistline. This look can go almost anywhere from errands to strolling to a casual social hour - add your favorite Summer tote and sunnies, and you are ready.
