Linen is one of the most celebrated fabrics during the warm Summer months. I love linen because it is versatile, comfortable, and easy to style. It looks and feels luxurious and is available at many price points. Linen also lends itself to the season's spirit as it travels well, fits almost any occasion - day or night- and is suitable for events on the hottest days. Here are a few staple pieces I like to recommend to my clients.
I love a linen vest with white pants or denim. It is a hot trend we have been seeing for a while, elevating a traditional tank look. A great linen vest can be worn for the most casual daytime looks with shorts or a skirt for a dressier look. A sleeveless linen top with a button front is another great option similar to the vest look. Both options are perfect for the Summer days when you want a little more structure and style without sacrificing comfort.
My favorite pant, especially for Summer, is a wide leg. This shape elongates the leg and gives a formal look without much effort. I love the cut-out trend we are still seeing going strong, and there are so many price ranges to choose from when it comes to a beautiful linen dress. I am also into a well-designed linen one-piece jumpsuit. This look can work for a daytime wedding or beach event, giving you the formal feel you want for such an event. Style this with a high heel, a sleek bun, and a statement earring for a gorgeous finish.
