3 Pants Perfect For Fall
Many of my clients are currently shopping for quality basics to prep their Fall/Winter wardrobes. I have narrowed my searches to three pairs of pants I think every woman should have on stand-by in her closet this season for multiple wears for various occasions.
Look 1
A brown, black, or camel pant is a staple for the Fall season. These high-rise wide-leg trousers by Maje Paris are lightweight wool and flowy, perfect as a transitional piece. I styled them with a cropped top by A.L.C. and my new Larroude booties for these extra warm pre-fall days. Wear these pants later in the season with a cream, camel, or red cashmere sweater and booties, or add a stylish blazer in oxblood, ivory, or chocolate brown with a coordinating silk cami for a more elegant take.
Look 2
These trousers by Smythe are a must. The high rise, tailoring, and fabric are cut to elongate your legs and look polished and sharp. I kept it cool and chic with a sleeveless top by Frame for the warmer days and my new Dior shield frames for an edge. Add a high heel or boot for height, and make sure the hem doesn't drape on the ground, as these run on the long side. Style these pants with the matching blazer for a power suit moment or separately for work, events, or business dinners—style with a turtleneck or crisp white button-down with a black belt for a business casual look. The charcoal grey is a refreshing departure from black but still feels professional and in line with what's trending for the season.
Look 3
I am all about cargo pants. Dress them up or dress them down - wear them to almost any occasion with the right coordinates. These satin cargo pants from Bloomingdale's were an immediate purchase for my Fall round-up. I love the olive color and shine of the satin fabric. I wore a strappy gold sandal to elevate my look but kept it feeling very September-ish with a cozy but fitted knit. With a baggy cargo, you want to juxtapose the silhouette with a fitted top or structured, cropped jacket. You don't want to combine a loose fit all around, leave that for a cool utilitarian style jumpsuit. Wear these dressy cargo's with a pump, heeled sandals, or ballet flats for the Fall.
