Fall Fashion Trends 2023
This Fall season is serving up wearable glamour. While we are still transitioning from warm to cool weather and everything in between, I pulled some versatile looks to elevate your style from day to night. These trending pieces also style beautifully by mixing and matching elements with your favorite basics like denim, leather, and neutral tones.
Metallic Glamour & The Perfect Layering Piece
This silver leather jacket and matching short look is by AKRIS. It is a stunning set with a buttery soft feel, delicate metallic sheen, and tailored look. My newly launched Tara tank from Livotte London is the perfect underpinning for this suit. This tank features a high crew neck style with a close-to-the-body fit, perfect for layering and wear all year long. Wear the pieces individually, like this jacket with the Tara tank, a white button-down blouse, and your favorite wide-leg trousers or denim. This will take a basic look up several notches and create versatility for when you want to wear a more casual ensemble with a little flair. The silver shorts are a beautiful fit and look chic on their own with a slim black turtleneck and heels or boots.
Red Hot Accents
The season's hottest color is going strong with stunning red accessories, shoes, and separates to boot. Red is a gorgeous color for adding a pop to an otherwise simple look, but it also works as a great neutral piece if you style it right. I love red with denim - a simple way to elevate your look without overdoing it. I fell in love with this Arlington wrap denim dress by Veronica Beard because the fit was so flattering and feminine but still felt cool and casual in the dark denim texture. Completing my look with a red suede Gianvitto Rossi pump and the highly sought-after Jacquemas top handle purse makes the perfect pairing for an elegant day-to-night look with a little edge.
Sleeveless Suiting & Outerwear
Here in Boston, the weather has been all sorts of up and down, mixed with a lot of gloom and rainy days. The weather can damper your dressing motivations, but it doesn't have to with the right transitional pieces. A sleeveless vest, coat, or blazer is a great place to start. Some warmer Fall days may call for a structured piece depending on your calendar, but with the unusual temps, you don't want to sweat the day away. Layer your look with pieces that are comfortable and versatile. I pulled this vegan leather sleeveless vest also by Akris for a meeting I had in the city, and it was a conversation piece. Easy to layer by adding to a dress or a basic look, and the sleeveless detail kept me comfortable but chic. The leather texture gave me that cozy fall-fashion look I was going for, and the creamy beige was the perfect neutral color to have on hand to style with a range of pieces from denim to wool to maxi skirts and beyond.
