What To Pack For A Trip To Paris
What Are We Wearing?
I'm off to Paris with my family for a little getaway, and I'm sharing what I'm packing in my suitcase for this exciting trip. Some of the most requested services from my clients are packing tips, styling, and staying organized while traveling for both business and pleasure, and my go-to advice is always to keep it simple and bring versatile, comfortable options. Here are a few must-have pieces that I can't leave without and how I'm wearing them.
The weather can be inconsistent in Paris, so the best outerwear I find to travel with is a chic, classic trench coat. Style this chic, midweight overcoat with a dress, a casual daytime look, or while traveling. It's the most stylish yet functional coat I own, and therefore a great option for this trip. This coat cuts out the need for decision making when I am getting ready for a dinner or a day of sightseeing and shopping.
When I'm on vacation, brunches, long lunches, and elegant dinners are always on the agenda. I typically like to dress up for our meals, so I always bring at least one formal dress that I can wear day or night. I like to style it with heels mostly, but sometimes, a casual sandal or flat shoe also works, depending on your itinerary. I find midi—to maxi-length dresses to be more versatile because you can easily dress them up or down by adding simple accessories.
If packing light is your goal, one of my biggest rules is to pack two pairs of shoes: one comfortable, casual pair of fashion sneakers and one formal pair of heels for your elevated looks. You can interchange these shoes with dresses, jeans, and other looks to add versatility to your travel capsule.
