Outfit Inspo for NYFW 2025

What Are We Wearing?

NYFW is my Superbowl. It’s the ultimate stage for bold, boundary-pushing looks that otherwise might not make a debut. Whether I’m attending shows, networking at events (or parties), or capturing street-style content, I want my outfit to be a perfect balance of fashion-forward, effortless, and camera-ready. Here are three standout looks I came up with to make an unforgettable entrance while still feeling chic and wearable.

The Power Suit with a Twist
NYFW (and NYC) are the perfect places to redefine the classics, and a power suit with unexpected details does just that. Start with a great blazer, there are a lot of different blazer shapes and cuts right now so have fun with proportions and textures. Think oversized, structured, or exaggerated shoulders in a bold color or a chic pinstripe pattern. Style your blazer with matching tailored trousers or a skirt with an asymmetrical hem to give it a little edge and finish with a sheer bodysuit or bralette for a mix of structure and sensuality. For shoes and accessories, I’d opt for pointed-toe pumps with tights or sleek knee-high boots and a mini top-handle bag, statement earrings, and big sunglasses.

Street-Style Cool with Edgy Layers
Street style in Manhattan is all about effortlessly blending high fashion with downtown cool. Style an oversized trench coat, leather jacket or faux fur coat over a cool graphic tee or fitted turtleneck for contrast. Opt for wide-leg cargo pants, distressed denim, or a structured midi skirt on the bottom and chunky platforms, knee high boots or heels to make a statement. Accessorize with your favorite hoops, a fabulous crossbody bag. I like to balance oversized elements with form-fitting pieces to keep the outfit polished.

Romantic & Avant-Garde Elegance
For some drama that still feels elegant, I like to put together a highly refined ensemble for high-profile events and evening shows. I’d do a midi dress that is voluminous or a maxi dress with architectural draping. Top it with a cropped blazer or structured cape to build on the silhouette and finish with sculptural heels or embellished ankle boots. To really bring the drama, go with Opera gloves and a bold red lip. Play with monochrome tones or color-blocking as a way to create a striking look.
