Supporting Local: Spring Edition
With this week’s installment of my Supporting Local series, I wanted to focus on a few of my favorite places in the Boston area to stock up on spring fashion essentials. When I think of spring I think of beautiful floral prints, fitted midi dresses, and eye-catching pastel and jewel tones. Keep reading to find your new go-to local shop for fashion inspiration!
Looking to incorporate more dresses into your wardrobe? Here are three confident springtime looks that can enhance any woman’s wardrobe! This gorgeous black belted Shoshanna number is from Mint Julep, it does a beautiful job of cinching in my waist to give me an hourglass shape. As with this ruched Ramy Brook look from Chic Consignment, which I made more casual by tossing on a denim jacket. And I can’t forget about this to-die-for gingham Chanel dress! Prints like gingham can be difficult to wear but if you stick to neutral colors and pair with simple accessories, you’re golden. Which dress would you add to your closet?
The great thing about pastels is that they look beautiful on any skin tone! I personally love a good pastel pink, and here I have two outfits that highlight this spring trend. The first look features abstract painted pants and a classic tie blouse from prominent Boston designer Daniela Corte. These pieces are chic and elegant yet bold and unique! For a more casual Sunday look, go for a simple pastel sweater and your favorite pair of light jeans, mine are from Injeanius. These two looks are just a few ways to take on this classic spring trend!
As you can see from the above video, I can’t wait to start dressing for the warmer weather! This bright French Connection suit from Crush Boutique is the perfect spring look. It’s professional and tailored, yet still fun and vibrant! The great thing about suiting is that you can be as unique or as classic as you’d like, and the same goes for accessorizing: I chose simple pumps and a classic satin camisole to put more emphasis on the suit itself. The possibilities are endless!
Can you tell I’m a fan of jewel tones? Green can be a difficult color to wear, but going for a floral print is a conservative way to incorporate more color into your everyday outfits. This vibrant Misa Los Angeles dress from Crush Boutique is a surefire way to make a statement! Featuring an effortless silhouette and long smocked cuffs, you’ll feel both sexy and comfortable in this lively look. If you’re looking to expand into suiting, look no further than this Daniela Corte two-piece. This satin set is so cozy, you’ll almost forget you’re wearing a suit. When it comes to spring fashion, I live by this motto: go bold or go home!
Thank you Mint Julep, Chic Consignment, Injeanius, Daniela Corte, and Crush Boutique.
