A Very Stylish New Year's Eve
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday filled with love, laughs, and new memories! As we look ahead and make plans for a bright and prosperous new year, we still have some planning to do - for NYE, that is. I have selected some fabulous options to help you get ready for whatever you have planned.
Stylepic
ShopStylepic.com is a one-stop shop for all your NYE fashion inspo. Not only does this site offer some of the chicest, on-trend pieces for the season, but they are all at an approachable price point. I love this black midi dress, also available in-store at The Lounge, with the copper, shine, and sequin details for a festive nighttime look. The fit is body-hugging and sexy, and the fabric is stretchy and comfy for all-night wear. I styled it with jet-black tights and booties for warmth, but you can also wear a black strappy sandal or patent leather pumps. Another fabulous option is the Jewel Sequin Midi Dress, at a fantastic price of $120. I recently posted about this dress because I love how versatile it is; if you have a celebration that’s earlier in the day, style a cream blazer over it. Finally, you might remember the Blue Valeria Feather Top from my recent trip to Paris; this is the perfect option for a festive NYE look! Style this with your favorite black pants or dark denim and a sky-high pair of platforms.
Sachin and Babi
If you want a departure from a two-piece pant look or a dress, this jumpsuit is just what you're looking for. The Bruni Jumpsuit by Sachin & Babi is beautifully designed with softer lines and a flowing satin crepe fabric. The cutout bodice and neckline with the open back juxtapose the softness with a little edge. The olive green color makes the suit very easy to style for daytime and evening looks with a light or dark color shoe. I finished this look with my favorite YSL clutch and sparkly bracelets from Tandem Jewelry. I’ve found several occasions to wear the Darcy Top and matching Leighton Skirt, so if you have been eyeing it, I say - get it now! It's a classic and elegant ensemble that can easily transition from winter to spring for all types of events, from day to night, semi-formal to black-tie.
Derek Lam
These Robertson Flare Trousers are so much fun, and I am obsessed with this color. The high-rise fit and stretch fabric makes them super flattering and slimming, and the gold buttons give a nautical look with some shine. Style these with a silk cami or cutout blouse and pumps, or go with a soft, cropped sweater and suede sock booties for a cozier vibe.
Neiman Marcus Boston
My forever go-to for all my event and client needs is Neiman Marcus of Boston. I loved working with them for their holiday shopping event, and this dress came home with me for a couple of gatherings! I wrote about styling this stunner a couple of weeks ago, and I am taking you back because it is too good to skip. This lace applique dress by Marchesa is the perfect option for a NYE cocktail/dinner party or evening wedding. I love the sheer details at the hem; in this case, skip the hosiery and opt for a black-heeled sandal and bold-colored pedicure.
Silk Pajamas
Maybe your new year's plans look a bit more low-key with an intimate night at home this year - who doesn't love that?! If this sounds like your night, I recommend the Eberjey Inez Silk Pajama Set and a cardigan-style robe. Not only will you be enjoying the best in comfort and style for some downtime, but these pieces also pair beautifully with champagne, yummy apps, and great conversation.
Happy New Year!
